Bunda Bible College (BBC) is a Christian College, run by the Anglican Church of Tanzania, Diocese of Mara. It was officially opened in 2010.
The Diocese of Mara has decided to use available resources to establish Bunda Bible College in Bunda district. These were the land of 100 hectares own by the Diocese in Bunda alongside the Ukerewe Road. The area has the facilities such as buildings, electricity and water supplies. Mara Diocese used the teaching staff among its clergies and minimal financial budget which was available at that time to set up this college to train pastors and lay people for the work of the gospel.
Bunda Bible College is the growing Bible College in Mara, Tanzania, East Africa and Africa in general. Over the past 7 years of its establishment BBC has experienced tremendous growth with many students coming in to study Theology and pastoral care from different Dioceses in the Anglican Church of Tanzania such as Mara itself, Tarime, Diocese of Victoria Nyanza (DVN), Kagera, Lweru, Shinyanga; Lake Rukwa and Kindu Anglican Diocese of DRC – Congo; and also some of Africa Independent Churches (AICs) within the Mara region.
